About TaiSource

We didn’t start as a sourcing agent. We started inside Taiwan’s factories.

For a decade, our team has worked inside Taiwan’s manufacturing clusters helping traditional manufacturers (傳產) modernize — factory websites, e-commerce storefronts, ERP and data workflows. TaiSource applies that same supplier-side fluency to the buyer’s side of the table.

Our story

Why sourcing. Why now.

For a decade, our work has been building the digital backbone that Taiwan’s traditional manufacturers — 傳產 — use to sell to the world: English-language factory websites, product catalogs, e-commerce storefronts, and the ERP and data workflows behind their quotations and order books. That work put us inside factories across Taiwan’s manufacturing clusters, project by project, for years.

From that seat, we kept seeing the same gap from the other direction: capable factories with real capacity, sitting behind an outdated website or a generic inbox, with no good way to reach the overseas buyer who needs exactly what they make. And on the buyer side, the mirror image — emails into a sales@ address that vanish, directory listings nobody has re-verified in years, weeks spent chasing a “yes we can” that never turns into an actual quote.

We started TaiSource because that gap was always ours to close, and modern AI finally made it practical to close it at the speed a sourcing search needs. The manufacturing fluency already existed on our side; what changed is that an AI agent can now read a buyer’s request the way an engineer would, and reach out to suppliers the way someone from inside the industry would — with a human reviewing every step.

What makes us different

We’ve sat on the supplier side. Most sourcing platforms haven’t.

Fluent in Mandarin and manufacturing

We don't run your request through a translation tool. Our team has spent years talking to factory owners, engineers and export managers in the language manufacturing actually gets done in — not textbook Mandarin, and not the polished English of a sales deck.

We've sat on the supplier side

Before TaiSource, we built the websites, quotation tools and ERP-linked catalogs that Taiwanese factories run their export business on. We know how a factory actually tracks capacity, certifications and order books, because we built systems that hold that data.

We can tell a factory from a broker

A decade working project by project inside Taiwan's manufacturing clusters means we recognize the difference between a shop with a real machine list and open capacity, and a trading company forwarding your RFQ to someone else. That judgment sits behind every match we make.

How we work

AI pipeline, human judgment, every step reviewed.

An AI agent parses your request, searches our Taiwan supplier graph, and drafts outreach in Chinese. It moves fast because that’s what software is for. But every outbound message and every shortlist call is reviewed by someone who has actually worked with Taiwanese suppliers — because that’s what judgment is for.

Human-reviewed at every outbound step — no message reaches a supplier, and no supplier reaches your shortlist, without someone checking the agent’s work.

The team

A small team, working the way we always have.

We’re a small, Taiwan-based team split between people who grew up around manufacturing operations and people who build software — the same combination that let us digitize factories for a decade, now aimed at sourcing. We’re not going to manufacture a “meet the team” page of headshots and titles that don’t tell you anything useful. What matters is how we operate.

  • We turn down requests that don't fit rather than force a bad match onto a shortlist
  • Suppliers never pay us — our only customer is the buyer, so our incentives stay aligned with yours
  • We show our work: every report lists who we contacted, who replied, and why a supplier did or didn't make the shortlist

Bring us a real requirement. We’ll show you what we find.
