Terms of Service

1. The service

TaiSource provides a sourcing-agent service: you submit a sourcing request describing a product or component you intend to procure, and we identify, verify and engage manufacturing suppliers in Taiwan on your behalf, delivering a shortlist report of candidate suppliers together with their responses and, where available, normalized quotations.

TaiSource is not a marketplace, directory or party to any purchase contract. Any purchase agreement, sample order or production order is concluded directly between you and the supplier. We do not manufacture goods, take title to goods, or act as seller of record.

2. Your account and information

You confirm that the information you submit — including your identity, company and requirement details — is accurate and that you are authorized to procure on behalf of the company you name. We may decline or cancel requests that appear fraudulent, unlawful, or outside the scope of our service.

3. Confidentiality of your RFQ

Your sourcing requests, drawings, bills of materials and related materials are treated as your confidential information. We disclose them only to the extent needed to obtain supplier responses, and only to suppliers being evaluated for your request. On request, we will execute a mutual non-disclosure agreement before you upload technical materials and require supplier NDAs before drawings are released.

We do not publish your requests, resell your requirement data, or use your confidential materials to benefit other buyers.

4. Supplier neutrality — no kickbacks

Suppliers do not pay TaiSource to be listed, matched, ranked or introduced, and we do not accept commissions, rebates or other consideration from suppliers in connection with shortlists or introductions. Our fees are paid solely by buyers. Any optional order-coordination fee is disclosed to you in advance and paid by you.

5. Fees and refunds

Fees are stated on our pricing page at the time you submit a scoped sourcing request and are due before outreach begins. For a limited time we offer a launch price of US$99 per sourcing request (one-time); our regular price is US$490 per request. Launch pricing may end or change at any time, but a change will not apply to a request you have already submitted and paid for.

6. Service guarantee & refund

For a qualifying sourcing request, we guarantee a shortlist of at least 3 verified Taiwan suppliers who confirmed interest within 7 business days of a completed intake, or we will issue a full refund of the fee paid for that request.

A request qualifies for this guarantee when: (a) it falls within one of our four supported verticals (semiconductor & AI hardware, automotive parts, hardware & metal fabrication, or bubble tea supply); (b) it is for production-grade standard or aftermarket parts rather than ground-up R&D or novel product development; and (c) it includes, at minimum, target quantities and basic specifications sufficient to reach a completeness score of 50 or higher in our intake assessment.

Requests that do not meet these conditions may still be accepted at our discretion, but the 7-business-day shortlist guarantee and associated refund do not apply to them. The 7-business-day clock begins once your request is confirmed complete, not at initial submission.

7. What we do not guarantee

We verify supplier signals with reasonable care and timestamp the evidence we rely on, but we do not guarantee supplier performance, product quality, certification validity, delivery, or the accuracy of information provided by suppliers. Shortlists and reports are decision support, not a warranty of outcome. You remain responsible for your own supplier qualification, contracts, inspections and compliance obligations.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaiSource's aggregate liability arising out of or relating to a sourcing request is limited to the fees you paid for that request. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue or business opportunity.

9. Intellectual property

You retain all rights in the materials you submit. We retain all rights in our platform, reports, verification methodology and supplier graph. Shortlist reports are licensed to you for your internal procurement use and may not be resold or republished.

10. Changes and termination

We may update these terms from time to time; material changes will be notified to active customers by email. Either party may end an engagement at any time; sections on confidentiality, neutrality, liability and intellectual property survive termination.
