What's Actually Worth Sourcing from Taiwan for Air-Cooled VW — and What Isn't?

For an air-cooled VW parts business, Taiwan is worth sourcing from for one band of part families — rubber and seals, trim and brightwork, lighting, interior components, and small engine tin and hardware — where reverse-engineering skill and cheap small-run tooling matter more than access to Volkswagen's own production dies.
